What graphic card is compatible with intel desktop MB DG35EC?

I need to improve the graphics of my intel MB DG35EC. I need to know what to buy and whether it will be compatible with this old motherboard. The new video software like Sony Movie Studio 13 requires more than what this motherboard has onboard. The expansion capabilities are: one PCI Express x 16 bus add-in card connector, two PCI Express x 1 bus add-in card connector and one PCI Conventional bus connector (if knowing this helps at all). What it has is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator x3500 on board graphis subsystem. Knowing all these, is it possible to add or replace a much better video graphics? If so, what could you recommend. PLEASE, please help!

Any of the Current graphics cards will work.

You have a PCIe X16 Gen 2 slot.

Generation 3 is backwards compatible with Gen 2

A GTX 1050 would be a nice card.

Just make sure your Power Supply is enough and good quality.
