My friend removed the GPU from his old computer and plugged it into a laptop with a PCI adapter, to test if it would work with his laptop which has a small PCI slot.
The product here

But when putting the old GPU (750Ti) into the OLD pc, the computer isn't booting, the CPU fans don't spin, the PSU fans dont spin, nothing.

The only response he gets when turning it on is that the power button blinks, amber colour.

If he takes the graphics card out of the computer, it boots up normally and he is able to use it like it was never broken, however he wants to have the graphics card installed.

What could the issue be?

I'm the owner of this pc. The 750ti worked just fine in the pc for the past few years.

I'm the owner of the pc. The gpu I'm trying to put in the system is the same one that has been working for over 2 years. I don't understand why there'd be problems now.
