Hi all,
As the title suggests my 7 year old PC has just thrown up a code 43 error on the graphics card. I have googled solutions and tried uninstalling the card, updating drivers, replacing drivers with old ones etc. no luck. My computer is working but the graphics card has been turned off due to the error. Crazy large font and little blue lines everywhere!

Looks like I need to buy a new graphics card and because of my work needs I need to replace it FAST.
Can someone please suggest a replacement card around the $200-$250 mark that is compatible for my system?
I use the PC for work eg NBN internet, word processing and basic video editing using Movavi. I am only a light gamer (not too worried about that) so it is mainly just a home PC I use for work. I also use it to watch movies/streamed TV etc on the 27 inch Dell monitor.

My PC specs are as follows (7 year old): Intel i7 CPU, 920@2.67GHz, RAM 4GB, , NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, ASUS P6T motherboard, windows 10 pro 64 bit, 27 inch Dell monitor, HAF 932 case (heaps of room)

What graphics card could I buy? thanks for your help

If not really a gamer at all, the GTX1030 is plenty. If you'd like to game sometimes on modern games, I'd go GTX1050, whcih would sure be a night/day difference in 1080P gaming framerates....; granted, your CPU is certainly reaching the 'veteran' status as well, but, you can take a GTX1050 with you on any rebuild later...
