Hi all,

I recently bought the latest EXP GDC Beast GPU adapter and it seems to be working well with my laptop and a GTX 970. It uses a mini-PCIe to HDMI connector to connect to the external GPU and I was wondering if there was something on AliExpress or something that converts it back to a mini-PCIe so I can use the WiFi/BT adapter on the go and then plug the GPU back in when I get home.

Thanks in advance! :)

You couldnt stick that to the back of your laptop screen because it would have no way to support the weight of the PCI-E card.

Also, this is a laptop, not a desktop. You dont just have molex connectors inside the laptop you can tap into, you would need a completely separate external source for your wifi card.

Agian, you are going need to disconnect the EX-GPU enclosure anyway so just putting the wifi card back in there is the easiest option.
The easiest option is to just remove the cable and put the chip back in.
You could get a mini-PCI-e extension cable and plug the chip or GPU adapter into that but you still have the antenna cables you need to attach back in the case.

You could leave the GPU adapter installed and then plug the wifi card into a PCI-E adapter card with antenna leads: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIADXZ5VY5123&cm_re=mini_PCie_wireless_adapter-_-9SIADXZ5VY5123-_-Product

If your access door for wifi card is easy to access though, just putting the wifi chip back in is by far the simpliest way to go without completely loosing portability.

Thanks for the feedback, boosted1g :) I just remembered I found one that looks like it can do the job a while back when I was considering buying the EXP in the first place, I've looked it up again and can be found here:

Do you reckon I could make right angles out of some connectors to make it a bit more low profile and then stick it to the back of my laptop screen???
