Hi, Guys.

Just Bought a new MSI GT 1030 for my Dell Optiplex 760. Plugged it in, Used HDMI on gpu on the Gpu for display, it worked. But when pc started it was all lagging, even watching videos. In device manager, its not under display adapters. Downloaded the drivers, it said no compatible hardware detected.

What am I to do. Is it an issue with the driver because the working display means gpu is working fine, if so, how am i to download them. The ones I used were the same on both MSI and Nvidia sites. Geforce experience says the driver failed to download, Msi live update didn't detect it either.

Thanks in advance, guys!!

P.S: My first gpu!!

Solution
power off and make sure the new gpu is locked into the video slot. also check to see if your card has power plugs on the card. some do and some dont. if your gpu has power plug see that it filled.

I would try using the other ports, first. Sometimes (though rarely) HDMI and DP can have problems which go away when using an analog interface such as VGA or DVI.
