I had desktop reminder 2 installed. But I had some computer problem and windows have to be installed. in the process the task list was lost. I have to reenter the tasks form my memory. Is it any way to save the tasks periodically in E folder or in disk.

Hi, I've downloaded the program and looked at it and determined that your tasks are saved here:
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\DesktopReminder\tasks.dr2 (in your "Documents" folder).

The program suppose to automatically make a daily backup (I can't test this right now) and save it to the same folder under the filename: tasks.dr2.backup.year month day such as tasks.dr2.backup.20170820
More information: http://www.desktop-reminder.com/en/support/restore_tasks_from_backup.html

You could create a Scheduled Task and maybe use a batch file to copy the tasks.dr2 file to another folder and or drive if you want, but the setup could get a little complicated.

It would be easier use some type of daily backup software that...

It would be easier use some type of daily backup software that can run on a schedule and automatically backup the file for you.

I've been searching for a small backup program myself for a while now, one that uses little memory and is able to backup several files on my PC daily to a ZIP file. I've found a few programs that I might eventually use, one of them is [Simple Data Backup 8]. The interface isn't the prettiest, but it allows you to backup files/folders to a zip or 7zip file and place the file anywhere you want on a daily schedule. I'm sure there are other similar backup programs (I also looked at [Cobian Backup 11] but didn't like it as much).

I hope this helps.
