GTX 1080 or GTX 1080Ti ?

Hi i want just help i my decision what to buy

I have recently sell my old AMD R9 290. And now i want to buy new gpu But from nvidia Because i have an ASUS ROG PG278QR.
I have an i5 4690K @ 4.2 and 16gb ddr3 ballistix.

So which card would be better to buy in this time Because i cannot wait for next generation gpu's.
Both the cards are from ASUS ROG edition.

the extra vram is worth it alone and with GDDR supposedly about to increase in price in the upcoming months, then if you can afford it and your PSU is up to spec then get a 1080 ti now.

The GDDR price increase is happening now, but it probably won't start hitting the consumer market for a month or two
