Do as below:

1. In the search box on the Taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
2. In Device Manager, select Network adapters -> the network adapter name.
3. Right click the network adapter, and then select Uninstall device- > Delete the driver software for this device check box -> Uninstall.
4. After uninstalling the driver, select the Start button -> Power -> Restart.

Check if your Network adapter is visible after restart.

Good Luck.:) Peace.

I did not buy a network adapter I bought a tool that monitors network traffic I used it many times on a old computer with windows 7 the tool requires that I choose a network adapter from the drop down menu I installed wincap which i assume is what makes the network adapter but it's not showing up I tried with the tool developers suggested, still no luck
