so i have a installed single channel MidasForce 4GB DDR4 PC19200. (old)

and i wanna buy Geil Evo X dual channel 2x4GB PC19200. (new)

Procie AMD Ryzen 1600X
MBoard Asrock AB350 Fatal1ty Gaming K4.

the plan is...cause my MB ram slot just have 2 slot that support dual channel 2400Mhz(A2-B2), which i wanna install the new dual channel sticks there.

and i will install the old ram on B1 ram slot.

question is,

1. is it will read SINGLE CHANNEL mode with the same speed which 2400Mhz of 12GB..?
or is it will read DUAL CHANNEL mode with the dual channel get downclock
to 2133MHZ cause i install the 2400Mhz old ram on B1..? or what will happen?

2. is the timing of those ram matter. or not?

3.. is it good or is it bad,,? coz it is hard to sell this old ram. so i wanna use it. it is useless if i juz save it in the box.

Solution
Your new DDR4 2400 memory may not be able to operate at rated specifications when a extra module is added. It may not boot up or you may need to run them all at a lower speed.

Memory in dual channel mode and another one in single channel is known as mixed-mode. This mode results in both dual and single-channel operation across the whole of DRAM memory.
