considering an A10-6800K upgrade?

i have an a86600k currently its a 3.9ghz deal however i am aware its slowing me and my gtx 1060 down considerably my mobo limits me to a cpu that uses fm2 socket for the cpu this is my mobo Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2 so what is the best cpu i can get for this or will the a10 6800k be a good improvement or would i be paying money for a worse product than i currently own btw i understand they are all dated parts i know but im not buying a new mobo right now basically im asking is the a10 6800k better than an a86600k and would it work with a GA-F2A68HM-HD2 thanks james

You will see very performance getting the A10 6800k. The A10 6800k's advantage over the A8 6600k is better graphics, which you wont use because you have a 1060. It will fit in your motherboard, but you will not see much, if any improvement.

so in terms of gaming performance its better but not by much however it is still an upgrade from my current cpu

You could switch to an Athlon, but that is the same CPU without the onboard graphics effectively.

Save your money and replace the CPU/Motherboard/RAM.

It is still an upgrade, but you wont notice a difference unless running a bench. The improvement will be less than 5% over the A8 6600k

if you get an a10 since you already have a 1060 your buying the igpu at an extra for no good reason, why not try the athlon x4 880k compatible with your mobo and more powerful than the a10 you mentioned see: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Athlon-X4-880K-vs-AMD-A10-6800K-APU/m121029vs2936
and its cheaper too!
