Laptop had damaged DC jack, so I replaced it. After replacing the jack the laptop would not charge. Have good voltage from AC adapter through DC jack and into power header pins on motherboard. Found a small, white-ish, rectangular component on the motherboard next to the power header pins labeled Fuse 6000. The top of this component has " LF 5 A " on it, I think this means 5 amp. Used clamping tweezers to bridge the ends of the component and the laptop is now charging. So, is this a blown fuse? If so, how do I replace it? Is it a circuit-breaker? If so, how do I reset it?
Thanks in advance,
