I checked the timings of the 1 ram stick I have right now and it is 11-11-11-28. Does that mean as long as I buy ddr3 ram which has a max speed of 1600mhz(what I have right now) and has those same timings it'll work with my mobo?

I have an Acer TC-705 motherboard which I think shares the same motherboard as the Acer TC-605.

No I dont wanna mix the ram sticks I wanna replace that 1 8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram stick with a kit of 2x8gb of ddr3 ram. I just wanted to know if ram with those same timings can be used.

This website gives you approved upgrades: http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-tc-705
Try and find an identical stick (usually sold as OEM components), mixing different brands isn't reccommended however if you insert a stick with the same specifications it should work. Main things are ram type, voltage and clock speed.

What ram do you have currently? Is it DDR3 or DDR3L?
