I am wondering if i should go with a 500 watt or 550 watt PSU. I checked the psu calculator and it said 498 watt.
The is my PC
AMD FX-8350
Asus - M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Windforce OC Video Card
Lite-On - iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer

Solution
The FX-8350 is a 125W CPU while the GTX 1050 Ti is only a 75W GPU. Rest of your specs consume minimal power.

On the average, you'd only be looking at the vicinity of ~200W power draw (which is ~40% - ~50% of the rated power of a 450W to 550W PSU, the range where highest power efficiency is achieved).

So, 500W-550W is way more than enough for your rig (unless you are looking to upgrade to more powerful components soon without replacing the PSU). For your current rig, you can even get by with a 400W-450W (even with OC). Make sure you are getting a good-quality PSU for better...
