I just for a new Samsung 960 EVO and after installing it I noticed it's not showing up in "devices and drives" people say to open disk manager and initialize it but I don't have the option to do so. I chose to convert the disk to GPT but it didn't work before that.

If its showing up in disk manager then you should be able to highlight it and right click and it should give you all the options, also since its a new drive you can't really screw anything up on it so go ahead and play around in disk manager and see how it works out.
