My pc won’t start

The Pc was on the I stupidly put something in the pci-e port and a spark came out and the computer shut off. Now it won’t boot. What part is broken? How can I test? Are my cpu and gpu ok?

To be quite honest it could be everything connected to the motherboard... the best way of telling is probably a process of elimination if you have any spare parts that you can use to test

My psu still works! Is that a good sign? Also when I unplugged the hdmi cable from the video card the monitor said check video cable.
