am doing some mining and wondered if it would make things easyer maybe even better latency if i port forward to the computer i mine on?

when doing so i can see the source addy and where i put the port for that source however what should i put for a local port am using a asus ac router? also do i need to do anything in the software firewall or in windows 10 to direct it to my pc

Port forwarding does not work the way you think. It is pretty much better thought of as a door that is either open or closed. It does not make things run faster or better. Pretty much something that needs port forwarding will not run at all if you do not forward the port. If the software you have is running then it does not need port forwarding.

I doubt the currency mining using much network bandwidth anyway these programs are CPU or GPU limited. Be very sure to do the math carefully almost all coin mining does not cover the costs of electricity especially if you live somewhere where you must use air conditioning to remove the heat the machines produce.

I'm not quite sure how much clearer I can state it...

Whatever you do with port forwarding...it will not make your mining enterprise any better.
Whatever software ou are using will tell you exactly what it needs to do its thing. Any other folderol you come up with won't make things any better.

well it may not make mining better no but i wonder with my sister and dad both using smartphones and dad always being on computer i wonder if mining if it causes any latency issues because all of the traffic so is why i wondered if maybe i should forward the port so it can traverse the network a bit better?

ok was just tryin to figure out the high network cpu and memory usage in the router but must be all the smart phones. naw i dont see having to use ac a problem as only a few cards not to mention you can turn off a secondary on claymores so that keeps the temps in check am lucky at .09cents a kwh actually
