OC Ram with OC CPU

Would my OC'd CPU have anything to do or effect my what I set my Ram Frequency too? 3000mhz on box but I set it to 2500mhz

I've been getting BSOD's running Linx to test my memory

i7-7700k 4.2ghz, 4.8ghz OC (1.210V) Manual Mode, LLC Auto, C-States & Speedstep enabled

x2 8gb (16gb) Corsair Vengeance LED ram 3000mhz, Set to 2500mhz (Voltage set auto)

Depends on your setup and how you're "overclocking" it

Just go into bios and enable xmp.

I've done that but I kept getting system freezes and BSOD's running linx and linx is for memory testing

Do you get the same crashes at 2133? If so I'd say your CPU oc isn't stable

I ran multiple stability tests for my CPU OC and I would say it's stable and I didn't try to lower my ram freq and try that yet

linx doesn't even push your CPU hard at all compared to other stress tests it mainly was hitting my ram
