What happens if your computer goes over the wattage of your PSU

Solution
If the PSU cannot supply sufficient power for the total system requirement, the PC won't even start, or it may start but run only for a few seconds. That's when you risk damaging other components, in other words don't try it, always ensure you have an adequate (and quality) PSU for your system.

If it's a high quality PSU chances are it's over spec'ed and can handle a few extra watts over it's rated wattage, wouldn't recommend doing this but it's not going to kill it short term.
Assuming you have a decent quality PSU, chances are you will trigger some kind of protection such as over current or over power.
If it's a poor quality PSU it's likely to die with the chance of taking other components with it.
