Hello. I have GTX 770. I connected my GPU to dvi-i splitter that makes it into two vga. Then I connected both to my monitors with vga cables. So far my computer sends the same signal to both monitors and they display the same view. Like mirrors. I checked nvidia control panel and only one monitor is being detected. What am I missing?

I tried unplugging and plugging in cables, restarting computer, updating my GPU drivers, starting computer with one monitor that was not being detected when both are connected and after windows loads plugging in the first one that worked before. Nothing helped.

Solution
When its a splitter its splitting the same signal to different monitors. You want to use two different plugs on your video card, one to each monitor. I do this with HDMI cords on my normal monitor and my tv. It makes it so when I move my mouse off the side of my computer screen it goes over to the tv screen.

Damn that's what I was afraid of. My GPU has dvi-i and dvi-d. I have dvi-i to vga but it's kinda hard to get dvi-d to vga here so I thought splitter would do the trick.Guess I will have to go to the shop for the third time haha. Thanks tho
