Hey guys, I will first list all my specs so you guys can get an idea of what I have.
-motherboard: Asus z170- A
-Gpu's: 2 EVGA 970,s
-CPU: Intel i5 6600k
-Ram: corsair vengeance lpx 4x4gb 2400mhz
-Powersupply: EVGA 750w

Basically when I first got the pc I had this problem with the ram, it wouldn't boot up no matter what slot I had my ram in. After many times unplugging it and restarting like 50 times it finally booted up and I haven't touched it since. I got new ram which is the corsair lpx ram and I'm having the same issue which I didn't know how I solved it before. On the mobo dram led is lit with a solid lit red light. I have tried putting one stick in each slot and it wouldn't boot. I have tried putting the old ram back and it didn't work. I have tried taking out the cmos battery and it still didn't work.

Let me know if you guys know anything on what might be the problem. Thanks

Nope it didn't work, I didn't know what the cpu cooper hadn't to do with it but I did it and it didn't work. I have tried 2 sticks and still does not work. When I insert one stick into a2 slot the dram light goes away but switched over to boot device led.

Let me know if you guys have anymore suggestions thanks.

Look soo check the chip manufacturer if its som like sy knix or som its bad bc i have one too they dont work at all it just says the led on the dram is damaged or doesnt work or whatever i searched up and suprisingly a company sold out a billion dollars worth of wafers to create those chips they were all non working the company is like 20% of all the chips so it would be pretty common on low end ram sticks that issue if u got it from a brand they would most likely repay but if its like from a dogy website like e bay or like reseller or like aliexpres gg man but this is all i know it might most likely be with ur case too i dont know if its same manufacturer but 80% its same reason so yeah
