Will a GTX 1050 Ti work with an ASUS H81M-PLUS?

I've had a 960 before and I remember I did do a BIOS update just in case it wouldn't work with the previous one.
There hasn't been any BIOS updates since to this motherboard, however I'm a little worried it wouldn't run the 1050, considering its age.
Thoughts?

generaly speaking, motherboard-gpu compatibility is not an issue. as long as the motherboard has a pci-e connector, its gonna work.
you have to be really unlucky to have a case of a gpu-motherboard incompatibility
