I personally have a Gigabyte board, the exact same as you are considering. The software may not be the best out there, but it is working for me without any problems. I cannot really say anything about Asus software as the only Asus board i have is in my older Asus laptop. You shouldn't select a motherboard after which software it comes with, after all you won't be using it that much. Just stay away from updating bios from the windows software, but that is the same for most brands. I did that as the first thing after i build my system, and of course the system froze and corrupted the bios. I was lucky to have the dual bios and was able to recover bios from the backup bios.

I've heard that ASUS boards are better and that Gigabyte's software is really bad, is that true?

What software do you need if your overclocking do it in BIOS.
Asus has had many problems with its software I have seen people have to uninstall their AI Tweaker to get their PC running right.
I would look at this board.it will do the same thing for less money.
