I wanted to initially turn on my old pc and save my old important files on flash drive then format it so I can use it on my new pc. I tried that any my old pc will no longer turn on! What can I do? If i put it into my new pc, will it cause problems? How can I avoid these problems? I only have an ssd on my current gaming pc which is why I wanted my hard drive. Thank you!

Solution
attach it to your new pc

either via usb adapter

or inside pc as a second drive

as long as your ssd is set as first boot device should be fine

Yeah do what "mcnumpty23"said, plug it in using an external USB to SATA or IDE adapter and copy your files. If you don't have one of those just plug it in as another drive. If your computer boots to the old drive you can open the boot options and select your SSD to boot from.
