I purchased a 1050ti graphics card a little over a month ago and have been using a dvi port since but recently the monitor broke so I bought a new one with just a HDMI port for cheap, however despite the fact that there is no discernible damage on either my graphics card the cable or the monitor I just get a blank sometimes green sometimes purple screen. But something I found interesting is that if I plug the HDMI cable into the DVI port using an adapter it does work. However I have multiple monitors I need to use so I need to get that HDMI port working since it's the only other port on the graphics card. Please help and thank you in advance.

You have two monitors, one older one and the new one. Does the videocard HDMI port not work with either monitor or just doesn't work with the new one? Are you using the exact same cable for both monitors when you test them or does each monitor have its own HDMI cable? How is it you're asking questions about connecting these three items yet you include no manufacturer/model number for any of the three items?
