ddr3 memory question

right now I'm running gskill ripjaw x 16gb of ddr3 1600mhz I'm thinking about buying these
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589&ignorebbr=1 will I notice a performance increase? my rig is a asus maximus 7 hero motherboard and a i5 4690k cpu liquid cooled. just checking before I spend the money.

I don't think it is worth the money in any way to upgrade RAM just for faster speeds.

To answer your question. Possibly a by a few percent in some games, my old haswell system seemed to perform the same no matter my memory speeds though I did not thoroughly test it with a bunch of games. Even if you did see a few pecent in FPS gains it would still be an utter waste of money.

That is the best RAM for your build.

Performance would be maximized

Depending on what the system is used for, if it can take advantage of high frequency/bandwidth, DDR3-1600 -> DDR3-2400 can be a significant performance increase.

I think my asus motherboard supports way faster speeds on memory than 2400 mhz

Compare timings, Trident Z is much better.

DRR4-2400 is the sweet spot. Not all processors can support higher, and it also requires manual OC that not all users may have or want to go through the hassle.
