Hello, recently my computer has started running slower than usual, I used to be able to run Doom, Rainbow six siege and multiple other games with great fps. The problem started when a game I started playing turned out to be very cpu intensive and caused my cpu to overheat, this happened a couple more times until I decided to uninstall the game. Now my computer runs slower than before, I checking real temp is showing an average of 80°.

Specs:

Motherboard:
Cpu: Intel i7- 4790k
Cooler: Corsair h115i

Additional info: I have a graphite series 230 T mid tower but I only used the dual 120mm front intake fans, also for my Cooler I was only able to put one of the 2 fans inside. with the h115i I am not running stock fan for cpu.

Solution
Agreed.
If the temperature is accurate and suddenly SPIKES the only possibility would be:

a) fan fails
b) pump fails

If you can observe the fan spinning properly visually, by your hand (air pressure) or just in software (RPM) that means the pump is almost certainly the culprit.

All liquid coolers fail over time. I personally prefer a good air cooler like one the Noctua's.
