Asus Motherboard not detecting Mic in (thinks it's audio out)

Just bought a new motherboard, (Asus Prime B250M-A) and went to plug my headset in. Headphones work fine, the Realtek audio manager popped up and that was all good, but upon plugging my mic in it's saying it's a center/subwoofer speaker out. In the audio manager, if I highlight the purple rear panel input, this is what it shows. (on the backplate it says mic in)

Is there any way to change this? My front panel mic input sucks and I sound like a robot through it.

Did you try the realtek driver from here?

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B250M-A/HelpDesk_Download/

Download from here choosing the right OS and Uninstall the old and install this one.

Good Luck.:) Peace.

This motherboard only has three ports on the back, and realtek recognises all of them as audio out, so none of them work for my mic :(
