Just like in the title, after I pressed it by accident on my monitor it gave me two black borders on the side. Please help!
Monitor: Viewsonic VA1938wa-LED
Resolution: 1366x768

Solution
Fastest way is to provide ALL the information about your setup upfront so we don't have to ask for it. (and don't use any shortenings like "asus motherboard" or "intel i5 cpu")

Open Nvidia Control Panel
Go to the place in the image below, and try the different scaling options. (you'll have to press the apply button in the bottom right after choosing a different option to make it take effect)

When trying to choose an aspect ratio its locked to "Full Screen" though the choices was 4:3 and Full Screen.

It's times like this that I wish I could be there to help.

I think you need to download the drivers for that monitor. If this is the right one, download its drivers and see if that helps: http://www.viewsonic.com/us/va1938wa-led-s-2.html

If that doesn't work, then maybe you could change something in your computer's display settings through the control panel / windows 10 settings or through NVidia or AMD's settings to output 16:9 1366X768 and try the auto adjust on your monitor again.

I tried reinstalling the drivers but its still the same. I also tried choosing the 3 different scaling types on Nvidia control panel but none of them works. I keep trying to press "Auto Image Adjust" hoping it can bring its old setup.
PS: "Memory Recall" option in the monitor doesn't fix the issue.

I forgot to mention that manually adjusting it doesn't work because it still leaves atleast an inch of black border.

Anyways, I randomly fixed it by shutting down windows and while booting (its not perfectly fit while booting) I spammed the "auto image adjust" button in the monitor where it randomly went to normal which fixed both in booting and desktop itself. It's weird but its fixed.
Thanks for all the help tho!

I am currently using a GT 730, is there a better way to troubleshoot this sort of thing? for future references.

That is the way to do it. I had to do this with a GTX 1050ti outputting to a Samsung TV.
Get it to the point of having those black borders again, then click on the "Size" tab next to the "Scaling" tab and adjust the screen to fit that way.
