I have one router in my room (no internet) and another router in a different room with internet access. I can wirelessly bridge a connection between the two that way the router in my room has access to the internet as well. I'm able connect to the internet just fine over wifi, but I was wondering if it were possible to turn off the wifi feature on my computer, connect to my router with an ethernet cable (the router in my room), and still get internet access through the wirelessly bridged connection. Something tells me that isn't possible but I thought I'd ask just to make sure. If it helps, I use a TP Link router and I configured a bridged connection through the router's admin menu instead of the network sharing center.

Be very careful the term bridge is used for 2 different types of devices. The more common makes the router into a AP. What you are describing is called client-bridge and is not as common but some router have the feature. Mostly it is in devices that can also act as a repeater but its hard to say since there are so many models of routers on the market.

There is very little advantage to doing what you describe. Maybe you could put the router on a longer cable so it gets better signal but it will not improve the wifi signal you get. It will more or less be the same as you have except the nic card is external to your machine.
