Would an i5 7500 be a boost in gaming to my rig?

Hey, there again! This is my current rig:

i3-3240 3.4GHz
GTX 750ti
8GB RAM
Asus H61M-E

I was thinking about upgrading my CPU but I was doubting if I would see any performance in gaming considering the rest of my rig. I was also condering an AMD 1400/1500x/1600 too but I'm still undecisive.

Also, if I change my CPU would I lost my digital W10 lincense? Thanks and cheers!

Your Win 10 license is tied to your microsoft account. You can deactivate your old build and reactivate it on your new build.

The i5 7500 will require a new motherboard and memory to make the update. You can't just change out that CPU to it, they are completely different sockets.

It would make a gaming performance difference, that said.
