Hello all, I would greatly appreciate if you guys would help me out. The problem is, is that at random moments my PC would just shut off, just randomly. I've been troubleshooting everywhere, and I do have a lead that it is my motherboard, but I'm not sure. Sometimes when I switch the EPU cable (there's only 4 pins on the motherboard that it will connect too), and it will not shut off in a long period of time. Basically, when it crashed it would just restart my whole computer, or it would just shut off leaving the entire PC running, no signal on my display, keyboard and mouse wasn't on. I then turn the switch to off on the back of my power supply, wait like 30 seconds for it to fully shut off. Then when I start it, my PC would be running, but there's no signal on my display, and my keyboard and mouse is off. This is really confusing to me, and I'm sure it would be confusing to you guys too. I just really need someone to give me an explanation, or just questions. Thanks!

Solution
Your PSU (aka Power-Unit) may be damaged. You might grill more mainboards with it, and your new one may be gone already (I don't hope so, but be prepared).
That's why: Go to a shop where they repair PCs. Never use that PSU again, unless a professional confirms it to be working correctly.

Hmmmm. Well it's burned, and I'm guessing it won't work no more. My only solution is getting a new motherboard. Yesterday I got a new brand new one, but it wouldn't work. The problem was that I installed everything perfectly, and when I would press the power button, it would turn on for like half a second, then it would instantly turn off. When I hold the power button it just turns on then turns off. Honestly I'm really confused on this lol. So if you know what's causing it, please tell me :). Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my post and respond also. (The motherboard wasn't really brand new, I got it used from Amazon. It is called, "ASROCK Fatal1ty 970 gaming board, I can't find it anywhere on the internet lol.)
