I was wondering if It was safe and could damage my peripherals. (I unplug my keyboard, mouse, and headphones everytime I go to sleep.)

Solution
You can leave them plugged in like 99% of people do, they are designed to stay connected.
If anything, the constant removal every night is far worse for them, in terms of physical damage to the peripherals or ports.
You are only supposed to disconnect them if you will be soldering on them for repairs, or if you risk snapping them off when moving things.

Every connector in a computer has a rated cycle life and some are surprisingly short. USB is rated for a minimum of only 1,500 insertions (DIN like PS/2 is much better at 5,000), while the pin-like 3.5mm audio jacks are rated 5,000. Things could be worse: PCIe is only rated 50 cycles and Intel LGA sockets only 15 to 20 installations! Molex power connectors are only guaranteed for 25 insertions too. So needless disconnection of anything just causes unnecessary wear.
