Gtx 1070 suggestion

I sold my gtx 1060 ,now looking for a gtx 1070 but I have 1080p monitor.Incase if I upgrade it to a 1440p 144hz ,I hope it can handle it but medium and high settings but by next year the games may be more demanding ,at that point will i regret getting gtx 1070 or may be sli it or buy a 1060now and wait until Nvidia Volta by nexy year or buy gtx 1070now and use DSR 1440p(if it makes a noticable difference than native 1080p ) .Plz give your thoughts and suggestions. Thx !!

For 1080p and 1440p the 1070 should be fairly capable of running most games with reasonably high FPS at high settings. I personally would recommend staying away from SLI if possible due to the increasingly poor support for the technology moving forward. If you are planning on buying a second card in the future it may be wiser to look for a 1080 instead.
