I am building a new PC and am looking at a GTX 1080 with an intel i5 7600K on computer planet.com. However I don't know which MOBO to pick. I have picked this one so far out of the options Asus PRIME Z270-P. I do not know if this will effect the performance of the GPU or if it is compatible. I have tried using part picker but the MOBO does not come up on their list. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Well, motherboards usually don`t have too much to say when talking about GPU performance. So if that`s the thing you are worried about, i wouldn`t be. unless we are talking about a 5 year old mobo or something, you should probably think more about what motherboards are best for your CPU, as mobos have a bigger role in that.

Do you have any preferences for your motherboard? Price, overclocking support, anything? If so, please share, as this will make it easier to recommend a Mobo for you. As far as GPU compatibility goes, pretty much every Motherboard on the market supports every gpu on the market nowadays.

no preferences, the website gives me a small list of ones to choose from this being the mid range choice. I just didn't want to choose one and it limit the performance of the GPU.
