Hi, so yesterday I built my pc and I have had it on for 24h straight since then and just now when i had been playing games for a few hours I noticed a chemically plastic smell it was barley noticeable but I could definitely smell it. So I turned off my pc and took off the side panel and smelt In inside it and the smell was stronger but still weak and I was wondering what the smell is and if it is safe to leave on. over night (I sleep in the same room as the pc)

It's common for new electronics to have a certain smell when they first start to get heated up,it should go away after few days. As long as it does not smell as something is burning you should be alright, burning plastic or PCB has a pretty distinct strong smell. Are you using your PC overnight? If so I see no reason to keep it on overnight regardless of the smell.
