Hi there,
New to these forums so please bear with me.
I'm having an issue on a clients computer that has me stumped.
It was running 4 x 2gb Ram sticks , the hard drive had packed up so we replaced that and gave the computer a clean while we were at it .
Now for some reason i cant get it to boot when there is a 4th Ram stick installed.
Ive done the troubleshooting i know , for instance testing each stick individually and each slot individually , But this is where it has me stumped, it works fine with all of the RAM sticks and all of the slots, just not when u plug the 4th one in. The fan starts running fast.
So to summarize , it works any combination of 3 RAM sticks in any 3 slots , as soon as i stick the 4th one in then it doesn't work . So none of the RAM is faulty and none of the slots are faulty , and it was running with all 4 before??...
Any advice would be much appreciated , thanks.
