Possible to put Windows 7 on one HD and Windows XP on another

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking a look.

I have an older PC that I built back in 2013. I love it and it works fine. However, I'm about to upgrade it. While doing so I have considered putting in another HD and installing Windows XP (Yes, all hardware is compatible w/ some drive install). Would doing this allow me to default to the version of Windows that I use most: Win 7, BUT allow me to reboot into the boot menu and start the machine up in XP (like it was a different system). The graphics card might be my only hiccup.

My purpose is I would like to load and play some of my old games like: Jade Empire and the KOTOR 1 & 2 and others.

For those that ask I have:
ASROCK 277 Extreme 4 mob
Intel i5 3570k ivy bridge cpu
16 MB DDR3 ram
Upgrade will be a GTX 1060 sc GPU - (Right now I have a Geforce GTX 750ti)

Thanks for any feedback or help.

Michael

Yes. Assuming a second drive...

Disconnect all other drives, except the one you want XP on.
Install XP

When you boot up, interrupt the boot process and choose which drive to boot into. You can have Win 7 as the default.

However...I would NOT put a Win XP system online. At all. Far too vulnerable to malware.

XP will probably not know how to talk to that GPU.
It may sort of work with whatever basic stuff Windows installs, but there are likely no XP level GTX drivers for it.

The integrated graphics on the i5-3570 is almost certainly more powerful that what those games were built to use.

Try it. See what happens.
