The title said it. I turn on my computer, the fans spin, the LEDs turn on but the screen remains black. Based on research, I think it's the motherboard that won't load into BIOS. Before this started happening, I installed a CPU cooler which required me to unmount the motherboard and graphics card, remove all cables, and fit it back into place. I am really pissed because I spent so much money and time in this project. Any solution would be REALLY appreciated.

Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M PLUS/USB3

Solution

Right, I was going to suggest reseating the Graphics Card, the CMOS battery, and the RAM. Those are the 3 most common causes from personal experience.

It worked before. Like I said above, this started happening after I installed my CPU cooler which required me to take off the motherboard and cables.

I was able to fix it by removing the CMOS battery and shorting the 2 clr rtc pins with a flathead screwdriver while my power cord was unplugged. I then fit the battery back in, connected the cord, and started up my computer normally
