I recently tried to clean install my laptop with windows 7 ultimate 32-bit while It was in the middle of making an allocated driver, it shuts down. I forgot to Plug its charger.(Battery is easy to drain due to age probably) Then when I repeat to installing my windows 7 it cannot format the drive. it says error 0x80070057. help this is an old laptop by the way. Also no OS is currently installed.
ACER ASPIRE 4310 Series
2gb memory
80 Gb HDD
Sorry for the short specs, I don't currently have my Laptop today. Any reply is appreciated. Thank you . Hoping someone will give me an advice :(

hey Sir - sorry for bad English
1 - open your computer HDD place its in the back side of your lap top and put it back
2 - go to Bios and check if computer supported your HDD . if your HDD appear there then you can install windows without any problem.
if you still have the same problem you can check it with another HDD replace it cause turned off in the middle of installation maybe your HDD got bad sector or bad clusters.

Sorry for the late update I was busy at school. Unfortunately this solution didn't work for me. Any more ideas sir ? :(
I was thinking to replace my current HDD from my another broken laptop HP mini 210(LCD broken), from I recall that hard drive from the mini was still fine, Do you think it could possibly work ? Thank you sir for sparing your time

yes you can do that make sure you take the battery off before you put the HDD. and also take the plug off

So I finally got it working, it really seems that my HDD is broken, but the one I replace worked :D Thank you sir, it's now fixed Thanks for your help really appreciate it
