high i7 7700k idle temps

Hi, i recently just built my brand new gaming pc which has a i7 7700k and a gtx 1080. My cpu cooler is a cryorig h5 universal. While installing the cooler, some of the thermal paste got spread around from installing the cooler, i turned on my pc and left it for a few hours. I came back, opened up the bios, and saw that the i7 7700k was idling at around about 46 c. can someone please tell me if the problem is caused from the thermal paste being spread around from installing the cooler or if the bios doesnt show accurate temps. Thanks!

BIOS temp is not idle. CPU runs at full speed in BIOS.

*Hey, if you don't mind running Prime95(version 26.6) Small FFT's with Intel Enhanced Turbo Boost on (4.5GHz on all cores) with 1.225V vcore that'd be great. I want to see the difference in max temp from my Cyrorig H7. If not, no worries. Would also be great to know how far you could overclock. I want to upgrade my cooler and someone told my the H5 could max out an overclock on the 7700K.

Idle temp is a little warm, but nothing to worry about. Gaming temp is normal.

Thx, I ended up using Intel utility & the temps read much lower (37c) than what CAM software showed(47c)!
