Greetings. My motherboard is messed up. It will only start and stay on if I short the green and a black cable on the ATX power cord. As soon as I remove it, it will turn off. Also, no POST beeps can be heard.
Is it bad to leave it shorted like this? I am broke right now so I can't really afford a new motherboard.
Also a secondary question. Could this have been caused by a malfunctioning PSU? If I get a new motherboard, I'm worried my PSU would just mess up that board as well!
