Greetings, i would like to hear your opinios and suggestions. My current pc is about 4-5 years old (buily by tom's community) and came out pretty good. But i feel that its time for a new setup, especially since i am about to move out. The thing is, i dont really know what kind of setup to go for, should it be a simple setup to perform light activities for my studies with potential to upgrade to a gaming setup or shouls i go for a gaming setup straight on which would also run all activities with ease. My budget range's from 750-800 euros.

Give me your opinions and build suggestions.

your better off using a micro atx mb and locked intel cpu or i3 one of the newer ones with hypertherding or amd ryzen cpu, save money is the build for ssd for it speed. if your not gaming now buy a good cpu and mb and power supply and ssd. when you want to game and have the funds it easy to add a gpu latter on. if yopur gpu in your old rig is still good you can reuse it till it can be replaced. same for the hard drive. if your going to do a lot of school work on the pc make sure you buy a monitor you can live with.

Well, regarding games i am not a hardcore gamer any more, but i feel that it's a waste not to have a setup ready for most games. I am currently involved with heartstone due to courses and stuff. This is why i am dubious whether i should go for a gaming pc or a much simpler and more affordable one. I am sort of perfectionist you see, regardless of playing games or not i would like to have the best possible pc for my budget give or take 50 euros.

Well that sounds like a speculation and not like a solid answer. Plus, i understood only half of what you said. :/

just like i5 7500 on a b250 mobo, u can get the i5 8500 which will release next month. i dont know whether the b series will be the b350 since amd got a b350 lineup.
dunno if u would want a gpu r not. if u dont need one right now, u can go for 8600k with a cooler and z370 and still be within 800 euro. but if u want a gpu like the 1050ti, u might want to downscale to 8500 on the b series mobo.
hope this clears up the confusion :)

Kind of... i get what you mean but new components/technologies are alwayd better to be bought after few months of release. That's what past experience have taught me. If you were to suggest a complete build within 750-800 euros what would it be? If its not much of a hassle provide some info.

the 8700/b series mobo combo may at ~820 bucks. and the thing is, 8700 uses the same 14nm process as skylake and kabylake. so its kinda difficult for intel to screw up performance wise.

Graphics?

with newer intel cpu coffee lake the lesaked info the z cpu will have 20.00 more cost for the i5 as of last leaks. with the new cpu your going from a 4 core cpu to 6 cores. i would go with the new 6 core cpu. the issue is when the next rev of intel cpu drop if they done the same thing they have in the past your mb you buy now wont work with the next rev cpu. amd on the other hand says there new mb will be around for a bit.

Before it's go Intel i3 or i5, I would go ryzen. Ryzen 3 gets you a true quad that can be overclocked. Ryzen 5 gets you at least a hyperthreaded quad. Or wait to see what the new coffee lake will look like.

Other stuff is ok, but you need a GPU it looks like.

I'm from the USA, so forgive me, but for example you can get the ryzen 1500x here.

https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B06XKVNRSM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅZÕÑ&qid=1503360561&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=ryzen+1500x&dpPl=1&dpID=31G8FbimD4L&ref=plSrch

That would save you almost 100, which nearly puts a 1050ti in the budget, which would game at 1080p.

A guy i know is willing to sell me his 4-5 month pc for 850 while it cost him 1250+. These are its specs:

CASE:Fractal design nano s
PSU:Thermaltake smart se 530w
M/B:Asus z170i pro gaming
CPU:Intel core i5 6600K
RAM:Corsair vengeance 16gb cl16 2666mhz (red led)
CPU COOLER:Noctua NH-L9i
GPU:Gigabyte RX480 8gb G1 Gaming oc
SSD:Samsung 850evo m.2
HDD:Toshiba 1tb
FANS:1x120mm Noctua NF-S12A,2x140mm Fractal design dynamic GP,1x120mm Fractal design dynamic GP
SLEEVED CABLES:phanteks red
FAN HUB:Nzxt grid10

What do you think? Does it worth its money and if it does? Shouls i buy it or should i wait for the new processors?

Hmm, the psu needs replacing if you think about overclocking and the g1 rx480 isn't the best rx480. It had thermal issues and not the best overclocked.
A new system of the very same specs will still cost 1000-1100. So I think it is worth it for 800. U can replace the psu when you think about gaming for real.

The 480 alone could be sold for over 300 euro if you were smart about it.

So yeah thats a good deal - as lucky said though the psu is the only thing that causes any real concern.

If you were building new id be looking at a ryzen 1600 & a 1050ti

All rx480 models have vanished from the greek market. I doudt you can get your hands in one easily. If you were to replace it what would your first choice be?

i was just telling my opinion on the above part list. while that rx480 isnt a great model, it still is better or equal to the reference design. if u were buying it, asking for a model makes sense. dont bother replacing it now. but to answer ur question, a msi gaming x or sapphire nitro+

No no, you misunderstood. I am not looking to replace the existing card, i asked for a future reference. I decided to build my own pc when the new mobos come out. It makes no sense to buy a pc few months before the new proccessors. I am currently researching to the more stable parts and wait for thr cpu and motherboard.
