Current PC Spec:

MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
BIOS: Ver 2.90
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K (non OC)
DRAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC3-10700H (BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT2TXOB) matched modules. 2 x 8GB kits (4 sticks of 4GB (non OC)

2 x WD-WCC3FFZCPPUS 1TB HDD (data and backup)
1 x TOSHIBA HDWD120 2TB HDD (data)

Please be gentle with me, I'm a newbie here!

I'm not a gamer, although I have Aion and The Long Dark loaded; I'm a Pro Photographer.

I have recently upgraded from an Asus P7P55 LX MB, which had my current GPU and 16GB Crucial DRAM installed...and where W7 recognised all 16GB DDRAM.

My reason for upgrading was SATA3 on the ASrock MB (the ASUS had only SATA2), which would take full advantage of my Samsung SSD and consequently
the load time in Photoshop from my Samsung SSD. Unlike a gamer, I need 16GB of DRAM for loading and processing RAW files; correct me if you think I am wrong!

Problem now is the ASrock Z77 Extreme4 BIOS 2.90 will only recognise 2 of the 4 x 4GB Crucial modules although the 2.90 BIOS 'System Browser'shows all 4 modules installed

DDR3_A1: None
DDR3_A2: 4096
DDR3_B1: None
DDR3_B2: 4096

How do I force the BIOS to actually show all modules are installed?

UPDATE,

This issue was a corrupt BIOS chip. ASrock have sent me a new chip and all Dram modules (total 16BG) are now recognized in the BIOS and in W7 system

This module is sold as a single. It carries no guarantee for compatibility when combined with another module. Compatibility of four of these working together also carries no guarantee to work together.

Corsair guarantees the rated specifications of any memory to be obtainable only in the form it is sold in. I suggest you try returning them and buy a single kit.

Many thanks for your prompt response,

however all 4 modules were recognised on my previous Asus P7P55 LX MB but not on my current ASrock Z77 Extreme4 MB.

Logic dictates that this is an ASrock problem with installing the 4 DRAM modules in the correct order as there was no problem with my Asus P7P55 LX MB 4 x 4GB module installation....

Btw, sorry the RAM is 2 x BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT2TXOB , two kits totalling 16GB

Are you , at best, now suggesting that I find a 1 x 16GB module (or 2 x 8GB) and not to pursue trying re-installing the modules in different order?

Just to let you know that I have spoken with Crucial today about these kits.

"the issue isn't in the RAM capacity.
The issue is that you have installed compatible Ballistix RAM memories with higher speed that your processor can accept" ..... Intel Core i5 3570K

That is a pretty good answer..
