Hello guys,
I ve bought a new PC specs

Ryzen 1300x
Nvidia 1060ti 3Gb
8gb DDR 4 2666mhz

2 HDD
(1) C: only 5400rpm SATA 2 where is Windows 10 pro instaled (Legit ) (1tb)
(2) D: 7200rpm SATA 3 where i have installed Battlefield 1 (1tb)

When i heard that HDD is reading something that scrathing noise i get studdering in game. ( FPS drops from 60 to 28 etc.)

Another funny thing is that even thought i ve instaled game on HDD (2). I ve got usage from HDD (1) 100% when i am playing the game. Even thought it is instaled on different HDD.

What i should do ? Should i ve instaled Windows on disk (2). Will it have impact on performance ?

Is 5400RPM bottleneck in gaming with my PC?

I am really shocked that i ve got more usage from HDD where the game is not instaled like from the other HDD where the game is instaled? Does it have to go via/from System disk when i am playing ?

Also when i have installed TitanFall 2 on HDD (1). I ve had hdd usage 100% almost at all time and i think it also harm my performance.

btw i am using avast antivirus free edition

Thank you for your answers.

Solution
yes a 5400RPM drive can bottleneck the PC like you're experiencing.
The OS and all games should be on the 7200 (requires reformat/reinstall)
And only media and documents put on the 5400 (that's all it's good for)
