I'm in the process of building my own Gaming Computer. The budget range is about $1000 to $1500 CAD. The one thing im really worried about is compatibility. Ive already purchased the motherboard and the case. Any issues you can see and is there a simpler or better solution.

Also is the MSI GTX 1070 a better solution to what i have already?

1) Cpu is a bit weak , in my opinion you should look for a Ryzen in that price range . ( also i5-7400 will be fine with stock cooler)
2) You should add a SSD with this budget
3) Both Strix and Gaming-X are good.
