I am thinking about upgrading my Dell Vostro 430's Processor/MOBO. I did a search for motherboards that are DDR3 compatible because that's the type of RAM that I currently have.
The old MOBO and processor is a Dell 054KM3 with an intel i5-750 processor.
I've added an NVidia GTX780, 16GB of DDR3 RAM, A 2TB HDD, and A 250GB SSD (It already has a 250GB HDD). I also have 350 Watt PSU.

I was thinking about upgrading the MOBO to an ASUS P8H67-M EVO microATX Motherboard - LGA1155 Socket, with an Intel i7-2700k processor.

I've worked in IT for almost 10 years, though I just recently got my A+ a few years back. I've upgraded other systems before, but never my own MOBO and processor, and I want to know
what the community thinks.

Is this feasible?
Should I try and upgrade my PSU also?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some links that I found to the MOBO layouts:

Yes ATX is a case standard, as long as it's says ATX...

First make sure there are no proprietary connectors and other oddities with the motherboard you have now. Some Dells (especially from that era) used special front panel connectors to speed up assembly line progress. They won't mate up with retail boards.

I think you might be OK with the Vostro 430. But double check. I have a couple OEM machines that can't use retail boards.

Dell Vostro 430 doesn't have any proprietary connections, so it's totally fine to replace it with another motherboard. But I don't remember if this case has a USB 3 support so why don't you get a new case too. There are pretty cheap ones for $15~$20, you don't have to replace the PowerSupply it uses standard 24 PIN connector and 4 PIN for the CPU. The motherboard you mentioned requires a 8 PIN cpu power connector but no problem, you can just insert a 4 PIN one and it will work fine unless you're not planning to overclock.

I think I may be ok as it appears as if there are peripherals on the new MOBO for front panel USB connections.
Take a look at the layouts, do you think I could just plug the front panel USB cable into one of those on-board connectors?

This is my first time replacing my own MOBO and processor, will any micro-atx form factor case work? Or should I be looking for something specific?

Yes ATX is a case standard, as long as it's says ATX compatiable in both your case and in your motherboard and other parts you can be sure 100% that all the parts will fit just fine.
There are other standards too but %99.999 of current manifacturers are using the ATX standard so you don't have to worry just get any case and any mobo and you can be 100% sure that it will fit. Just make sure if there is any prefixes before the atx such as MicroATX (mATX). You won't be able to fit Full ATX mobo to MicroATX case but the vise versa will fit just fine :)
