Hi there,

I'm running an I5 and I picked up a new GPU. It's a GTX 1060 G1 6GB.

After installing, the GPU ran bloody mint every game was what I was expecting if not better.

Just recently, the games are losing all their FPS and they are fluctuating badly.

The GPU temp is fine and it appears to be fine under load. I've uninstalled all drivers, reinstalled drivers, reinstalled windows, updated windows. All sorts. I've turned power to maximum in control panel. Disabled onboard gpu in BIOS. Everything I can think of to try and get it to run better but it's not.

Prior to all this I was averaging like 60 to 70 fps in the games I play (pubg and dayz). Now, if I'm lucky I hit about 30 frames in pubg and about 10 frames in dayz.

It's killing me cause the GPU is brand new and it was running fine before whatever changes have messed it up.

Does anything have any further suggestions?

Solution
CPU temps?

Power supply might be worth a look.

Run memtestx86 to make sure the computer just isn't having to correct itself or having fetch errors.
