HI about a week ago my GPU was wworking fine but after a windows update, it just stop working. after trying a lot of thing i just can't see my card in the device manager

If you have graphics or driver issues, one of the most common fixes is a clean uninstall and removal of your graphics drivers.

To uninstall your drivers, first download and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and follow it's recommendations of booting into safe mode and ect.
(This is a direct download link so you don't grab the wrong version)
http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html

You'll download a compressed file called "[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip"
Right click and choose extract.
Go into the folder and run the DDU v##.##.exe
This will extract more files to this folder.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe
Choose Yes when it asks you to boot into SafeMode.
After you've rebooted into safe mode.
When DDU comes up, if it hasn't selected your GPU manufacturer (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) then choose it from the drop down list
Press the Clean and Restart option
If a window comes up asking to disable the Windows automatic installation of display drivers click yes.

After (or before removing the old drivers, just put the new ones on the desktop or somewhere handy) rebooting back into Windows, manually download the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD, don't use auto detect, choose you GPU model and OS from the drop down lists.

AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

clutchc: no itsa not producing any display and yes i moved the cable to integrated graphics.

James Mason: i already used DDU and reinstalled the latest drivers for my card... the last thing i did, because nothing else was working, is to uninstall the card from the device manager

If you moved the video to the iGPU, that may be why DM isn't showing the card being present. But if you had to do that because the card wasn't working, it may be the card died. Can you test the card on another machine.

That's because modern boards default to the slot with the card if it sees one.
It would appear that the card is dead, but it's odd that it happened only after a Win update. You really need to prove out the card before you can say it is dead tho. A friend's PC maybe? Nearby computer shop?

but if it was dead could the fan still run?

Yes. The GPU is separate from the rest of the card's components. Or a simple capacitor could have failed and rendered card unable to produce video output. Have you tried any of the other outputs? VGA, HDMI, DVI?

yes i actually have two monitor one VGA and the other is hdmi. but again, before i uninstalled it from the DM, it was showing with this code;
This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
i uninstalled it from the DM to try to get rid of this error

If there is no video signal at POST, the card is not producing video output. The first thought would be the card itself, but there is always the possibility that the PCIex16 slot, chipset, or something else is at fault. That is why you need to either try the card on another PC or try another card in your PC.

I don't know if it is "fried", but you have narrowed down the problem to something on your PC; not the card.

What motherboard are you using?
