So this is my first build and I wanted to make it look pretty. I bought satechi lights and I put them in today. When I put them in the PC there was a bright flash of light, and the PC booted into the msi bios with no SATA ports saying nothing was connected. I know my CPU/RAM/motherboard is working because it went to bios in the first place, and I know my GPU is working because my HDMI cord is still plugged in and i can clearly see the bios on my monitor.
My questions are:
1. Is my diagnostics correct?
2. How can i fix the problem or should i just replace the broken parts
3. How can something like this happen where lights can damage a hard drive.
