I'm going to mention now that i did not have a graphics card plugged at the time due to it dying a while back and I have been using integrated graphics.
As my title states i spilled some water on top of the case of my computer (no more than a hand full)
my monitor looked distorted and that's all i saw before i rushed to kill the power supply.
for the first week it wouldn't turn on, but then one day it did but with a few problems.
The first few things that i noticed were that there are now waves on my monitor running from the bottom of my monitor to the top.
and i can now hear my cpu through my headset making a static noise as my cpu processes, the sound intensifies when the cpu usage rises.
as well as the performance becoming unpredictable and the for most part decreased as a result of the water.
I also get a hard drive error when starting up my computer, something along the lines of "S.M.A.R.T Status BAD Backup and Replace".
Now which component could the water have landed on to cause these issues?
The only possible components that the water could have landed on were the motherboard or the CPU and maybe in the slightest chance the power supply but even then it would only be landing on the box itself and not any wires.
Thank you for your time.
